Just Mocks

'JUST MOCKS' offers you the chance to develop your interview technic and  presentation skills ready for  Police promotion to the ranks of Sergeant, Inspector or Chief Inspector.

Trainers are qualified in recruitment and assessment and are ranking officers  currently involved in force selection proceedures. The course is split in to two one day phases, which can be booked individually or as a two day package.

Phase 1

Application forms.  

How to  use the  job description and role profiles. What is the Integrated Competency                                                framework (ICF) and how is it used to mark application forms. What are positive and negative                                     indicators?

Presentation skills.  

 Horizon scanning, how to formulate a presentation, tips to presenting, what the assessors look for.


Interview technique.  

How to prepare for the interview. How the marking guide works. How to answer the question.

Phase 1 classes are limited to a maximum of 20 students per class.

Phase 2

Preparing and delivering a presentation.    

This process will involve preparation on a key theme within a set time frame. Topics will not be made available until the day of the course. The delivery will be in front of a selected panel and the candidate receive feedback on content, structure and delivery style in order to improve their performance.

Psychometric testing exercise. 

This will be used to evaluate leadership styles and draw out potential weaknesses in candidate management styles. Guidance will be given on the purpose and value of  such testing and how it assists in "managing" your assessors.

Interview panel. 

Candidiates be interviewed on subjects relevant to the rank for which they are applying. All interviewers are qualified in recruitment and selection techniques and the panel will consist of at least one officer of the rank of Chief Inspector (or above). Each candidate will receive feedback on their interview performance based upon the ICF.
